INFO: Startup layout sequences

The information applies to:

  • LuxRiot 1.2.20 and more recent, LuxRiot Light 1.2.20 and more recent

Summary

A layout sequence may be set as a startup layout sequence in which case it is activated automatically on opening LuxRiot DVR Client document (.lxd file). That is, in most cases, layout sequence is activated once you start LuxRiot DVR Client application.

INFO: Storing LuxRiot archive data on a network drive

Summary

LuxRiot can be configured to store archive data on a network drive, for instance, on a Network-attached storage (NAS). By default LuxRiot uses local hard drives for archive storage, which are listed under recording properties. An UNC (Universal Naming Convention) path to external storage is to be added manually:

Video HOWTO: Using Layout Sequences

Using Layout Sequences

  1. First of all, you need to create custom layouts by selecting layouts, choosing appropriate cameras to display and selecting “Save Current Layout…” menu item.
  2. Right click on Layouts->”Layout Sequences”, select “Manage Layout Sequences…” and create a new layout sequence by assigning layouts and time to display them.
  3. Select “Activate Layout Sequence” on Layouts->”Layout Sequences”->”Layout Sequence 1″.

Using Digital PTZ
To use Digital PTZ (DPTZ) you have to enable it by right clicking on camera and selecting “Digital Pan-Tilt-Zoom”->Enable. A new DPTZ icon will be shown under the frame. More info how to use Digital PTZ feature could be obtained from here.
