LuxRiot booth #359 at ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security) exhibition, 9/26 - 9/28

A new module designed for AVI Playback is available to download at LuxRiotAviPlayback-1.2.7.exe. The latest available LuxRiot has to be installed prior to setup AVI Playback module. After the module installed a new option “Add new [AVI Playback]” in Camera Setup Wizard should be available.

You may use these LuxRiot AVI files for demo purpose.

NOTE: AVI Playback designed to play LuxRiot codec AVI files. However other VFW (Video for Windows) based codecs are also supported by AVI Playback module.

The information applies to:

• LuxRiot 1.2.x up to 1.2.6

Symptoms

LuxRiot DVR Server configured to record to archive may excessively erase old data when freeing space for new recordings.

Resolution

The fix for the problem is only applicable for LuxRiot 1.2.6, upgrade before applying the fix if an older version of LuxRiot is installed.

1. Download the archive DVRServerTools-1.2.6.6430.zip
2. Stop all LuxRiot applications
3. Open LuxRiot instllation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
4. Backup file DVRServerTools.dll by renaming to e.g. DVRServerTools.01.dll
5. Extract new DVRServerTools.dll from downloaded archive in place of the renamed file
6. Start LuxRiot applications

The fix will also be included into next release of LuxRiot.

To manually update XeCap drivers:

1. Download the last available drivers version 4.0.12.62 from http://www.luxriot.com/downloads/drivers/xecap_drivers_4.0.12.62.zip and extract the archive.
2. In Control Panel choose System Properties -> Hardware tab and click on Device Manager button.
3. Right click on “CAPT 2/4/ 8XP” item under “ComArT 3RD DVR BOARD” item and choose “Update Driver…”
4. Select “Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install.”. Press Next.
5. Press “Have Disk…” button and select the path to your unzipped drivers.
6. Finish the installation and you will have your ComArt board drivers updated.
