Day/Night Settings for Arecont Vision AV3130 camera

Filed under: How To, Network Cameras, Support — AlexB @ 10:28 am

Untitled-1 copy1.png
“Exposure threshold to enter to night(day) mode” value sets the illumination level for switching from Day mode to Night mode and back. ( 1 - means that Day mode will be when illumination is very high; therefore, most of the time camera will be in the Night mode; 18 - means that Night mode will be when illumination is very low, and most of the time camera will be in Day mode).

To avoid continuous switching Day\Night modes at the border illumination there is a trusting interval “Exposure threshold delta to return to day(night) mode” (1 - short interval, 5 - long interval).

Good starting point is values 16 and 2. Depending on lighting conditions you would need to slowly adjust these values until switching between Day/Night modes will be satisfactory.

PROB: LuxRiot does not show video from Vivotek PZ6112, PZ6122 network cameras

Filed under: Bugs, Change Log, Fixes — roman @ 2:39 am

The information applies to:

  • LuxRiot 1.1.17 through 1.1.21

Symptoms

Properly configured Vivotek PZ6112, PZ6122 (also applies to branded models such as for example 4XEM cameras) cameras neither show live video nor record to archive.
Resolution

An update of one of the LuxRiot modules is required on LuxRiot server machine. Please follow update instructions below:

  1. Download archive with updated module DVRServerNetworkCameras-1.5.21.79.zip
  2. Stop all LuxRiot applications and services
  3. Find installed DVRServerNetworkCameras.dll file on server machine, it is located in LuxRiot installation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
  4. Overwrite existing file with new file from archive
  5. Start LuxRiot applications and services

The fix will be included into next release of LuxRiot 1.1.22.

Running LuxRiot Client on dual-monitor system

Filed under: How To, Support — AlexB @ 5:17 am

Current LuxRiot version doesn’t have native dual-monitor support; however, it is still possible to do that by launching 2 LuxRiot DVR Client copies simultaneously - one for each screen. Also please note that each copy will have to be placed manually into corresponding screen every time you restart computer or just DVRClient applications.

blog4.png

Running 2 separate copies of LuxRiot on a dual-monitor system requires video renderer to be set to GDI.
Click menu “Tools –> Options”

blog1.png

In opened window choose tab “screen”, change video renderer version.
blog2.png

Click on button on the right of name “video renderer version” (in blue circle on the picture). In opened menu choose GDI clicking on it and then click ok.
