LuxRiot 1.1.16 has a new “Pause between frames” feature to decrease ArecontVision cameras network bandwidth and CPU usage. Choose ArecontVision camera’s property, Advanced tab and specify a delay between frames (msec). Setting this value to 100 msec, for example, will cause to produce ~8 FPS video stream from camera. Note, that ArecontVision camera will behave unstable if this value is too high (more than 1 sec). Leave it for 0 (default) for maximum FPS.

HOWTO: Submit a problem report from machine not connected to Internet
The Problem Report Wizard (can be started from Start Menu, Programs, LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder group, Problem Report Wizard shortcut, or from LuxRiot DVR Client menu) gathers information about past LuxRiot errors and system and submits it to LuxRiot website automatically.
When LuxRiot is running on machine which is not connected to internet, it is still possible to compose the report so that it can be copied to machine with Internet connection and submitted manually.
To create report, start Problem Report Wizard (shortcut location mentioned above) and pass it up to the page “Report Text - Review prepared report text“, see screenshot below.
The page provides “Drag to Copy” link which needs to be dragged using mouse to email client application, file manager application such as Windows Explorer etc. When dropped, a new file with .ZIP extension will appear. Send this file via email support at luxriot dot com to LuxRiot support.

Troubleshooting remote connections to LuxRiot
There are several reasons why remove client could fail to connect to LuxRiot server software.
First of all, make sure your LuxRiot edition is capable of remote connections. Note that shareware/evaluation version of LuxRiot server does not accept remote connections. For information about available editions, see LuxRiot website.
Second, make sure LuxRiot server is set up to accept remote connections.
![]()
Make sure TCP server staus is “Active” and note port number used. In most cases the default value of 60554 is used. This means that if you have a firewall or router set up, you need to make sure this port is open for available connections. In case you are planning to use web client, a port for HTTP server should also be set up to be accessible. Default HTTP port is 80 and it is also configurable.
After that make sure the user name used to log in remotely is allowed to make remote connections.
![]()
Make sure users have “Connect Remotely” permission granted.
Check user name and password to be correct and note that most editions have a limit on a number of concurrent connections.

PROB: PTZ cameras stop touring
The information applies to:
- LuxRiot 1.1.x up to 1.1.14
Symptoms
PTZ-enabled cameras set up for touring stop automatic touring and sometimes reset to their default point.
Resolution
Currently active PTZ tours may stop if LuxRiot DVR Server is restarted. Possible restart reasons include:
- user action
- maintenance server restart, as configured in server watchdog settings
- recoverable error fixed by server watchdog by restarting the server
Once the LuxRiot server is started, the PTZ tour that was previously active is not restored. Starting from LuxRiot 1.1.14 there is an option of “startup tour” which is automatically started with LuxRiot server.
The PTZ tour configured as startup tour will survive through server restarts.
