Symptoms
With motion detection enabled for a camera, it may sometimes appear that some of the regions (especially along right and bottom margins) are persistently and falsely shown as having motion detected. The problem may go or re-appear with restart of the LuxRiot DVR Server application or service. In rare cases the problem may cause crash of server side of the software.
Resolution
An update of one of the LuxRiot modules fixes the problem.
It is strongly recommended to upgrade to LuxRiot 1.2.14 before applying the fix if an older version of LuxRiot is installed.
- Download the archive DVRServerTools-1.2.14.6623.zip
- Stop all LuxRiot applications
- Open LuxRiot instllation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
- Backup file DVRServerTools.dll by renaming to e.g. DVRServerTools.01.dll
- Extract new DVRServerTools.dll from downloaded archive in place of the renamed file
- Start LuxRiot applications
The fix will also be included into next release of LuxRiot.

Symptoms
Defined exclusion area for motion detection may get corrupted after LuxRiot DVR Server restart and will not be taken properly into consideration.

Symptoms
A change in permission settings for ComArt HiCap/XeCap cameras might appear to be not saved into persistent configuration database and after restart of LuxRiot DVR Server the settings get reverted to their original state.
Resolution
An update of one of the LuxRiot modules fixes the problem.
It is strongly recommended to upgrade to LuxRiot 1.2.11 before applying the fix if an older version of LuxRiot is installed.
- Download the archives DVRServerXeCap-1.5.22.22.zip and DVRServerHiCap-1.2.12.15.zip
- Stop all LuxRiot applications
- Open LuxRiot instllation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
- Backup files DVRServerXeCap.dll and DVRServerHiCap.dll by renaming to e.g. DVRServerXeCap.01.dll and DVRServerHiCap.01.dll respectively

Without the update, to workaround the problem after changing permission settings administrator may reconfigure any camera using camera setup wizard and LuxRiot DVR Server will flush latest configuration into persistent database including permission settings changes.

Despite confgiration of post-motion recording feature, LuxRiot DVR Server may unexpectedly record all video frames regardless of motion state.

Symptoms
Properly configured Vivotek PZ6112, PZ6122 (also applies to branded models such as for example 4XEM cameras) cameras neither show live video nor record to archive.

- Download archive with updated module DVRServerNetworkCameras-1.5.21.79.zip
- Stop all LuxRiot applications and services
- Find installed DVRServerNetworkCameras.dll file on server machine, it is located in LuxRiot installation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
- Overwrite existing file with new file from archive
- Start LuxRiot applications and services

Symptoms
When LuxRiot DVR Server is configured to run in service mode with ComArt XeCap boards, it may appear that one or more of the capture board channels stop sending video in which case LuxRiot DVR Server Watchdog restarts service in attempt to recover from the error occurred.
However restart mail fail and LuxRiot DVR services would remain stopped.
Resolution
An update of one of the LuxRiot modules is required on LuxRiot server machine. Please follow update instructions below:
- Download archive with updated module DVRServerWatchdogTools-1.1.18.891.zip
- Stop all LuxRiot applications and services
- Find installed DVRServerWatchdogTools.dll file on server machine, it is located in LuxRiot installation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
- Overwrite existing file with new file from archive
- Start LuxRiot applications and services
The fix will be included into next release of LuxRiot 1.1.18.
There see to be an unexpected failure trying to use multiple video mixing renders. The sample project reproduces the problem on Intel D915 GEV series motherboard machine with integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 video adapter (Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 2, DirectX 9.0c).
