HOWTO: Find out version of ProVideo PV-143P board driver

The article explains how to find out version of ProVideo PV-143P board driver installed.

Instructions

Open device management console right-clicking My Computer on desktop and choosing Manage item (alternatively,you can run devmgmt.msc from command line). In the device tree find “BT878, WDM Video Capture” or “BT878, WDM Video Capture 0” entry which corresponds to PV-143P board installed (first board, if you have more than one installed). Right-click the entry and choose Properties menu item:

In the Properties window that will appear switch to Driver page and click “Driver Details…” button:

In the details window focus PV878_A?.sys item and see the version numbers below:

The driver version is “2.0.1.0” on the screenshot above.

If there are more than one PV-143P board installed, the other board will be listed in device management console as “BT878, WDM Video Capture 1“, “BT878, WDM Video Capture 2” etc.
