PROB: NOD32 antivirus creates large temporary files when running along with LuxRiot DVR Server

Filed under: Bugs, How To — roman @ 4:52 pm

The information applies to:

  • LuxRiot 1.1.x

Symptoms

When LuxRiot DVR Server is set up to record data and there is a NOD32 antivirus product from ESET installed and running, there may be a situation when the antivirus is creating large temporary files, e.g. IH*.tmp, most likely in system temporary directory.

Resolution

The problem is caused by the antivirus analysis of the intensive disk operations. Configure antivirus to exclude drives used for recording from monitoring.
