Problems using LuxRiot with dual monitor systems
Since it is asked over and over again, an update on the dual monitor issue:
From the client:
Running the Luxriot Client on a Dell PC with dual monitors. The desktop is extended across both monitors. When you drag the client application from monitor 1 to monitor 2 the camera images (16) disapear and every screen displays “Unspecified error”. The error flickers between a screen with an image of a camera and the error message at the bottom, and a black screen with diagonal white stripes and the error message in the middle.
This is a known issue caused by inability of DirectX subsystem to use secondary monitor properly. The workaround options are:
- Make sure you are using latest drivers for video board
- Install most recent DirectX runtime from Microsoft website
- If the problem is not gone after the above steps, switch LuxRiot to GDI mode as described here.
