We have notifications and their management on our roadmap, however we never considered Twitter (we will check)

LuxRiot DVR heavily relies on Windows subsystems, takes advantage of such and optimized to use them the best way. We don't currently consider offering non-Windows options

Please email us to support@ with all unsupported models of your interest, we are continuously adding support for new hardware, we support ACTi megapixel models in our latest version to be released soon and we can even give a beta version to try out, please email to support@

What is the procedure to submit new megapixel network camera models to be included with LuxRiot recording functions? I am using three new camera models that are not yet on the list.

It seems that thwre are new megapixel cameras every month. Acti has four new ones, and Hikvision has three.

Does LuxRiot plan on developing software that will be compatible with other operating systems including Mac OSX, and/or various Linux distributions such as Ubuntu or others?

Most of our applications require that they run autonomously. To save on the costs of a security person to watch cctv monitors, some recoding software firms and even a few network cameras have built in SMS, MMS or SMTP servers. In this way, as soon as an external alarm input or video motion detection is detected, a snap shot of the site is emailed or sent to management staff. In this way, "false alarms" can be controlled or minimized.

Recently, some new cctv security cameras also support TWITTER for alarm verification/notification. Is this on your software development road map?

1) I am sorry to disappoint you, but Input and Output signal processing isn't supported by LuxRiot yet, We plan to implement those features, however we have no estimated timelines for this task yet.

2) This setting (sending images only on motion) isn't available in LuxRiot, however you can set it in Arecont Web interface and LuxRiot should work as you expected. But currently it is not recommended to use this feature since LuxRiot server will restart camera if no images are received passing some timeout time (for example if no motion is detected for a long time period)

3) same as 1.

1) I noticed that my Arecont cameras all have opto-isolated inputs and outputs, but I vcan't find refence to these functions in the Arecont Operation manual. Are these function supported with LuxRiot?

2) On page 45 of the addendum to the Arecont camera/software manual it says: "the on-camera" (motion detection) feature was implemented to reduce overall network bandwidth so the camera itself will not send images until the motion is detected". This is a good feature, will this be implemented in LuxRiot?

3) Is it possible for Luxriot to send a signal to the optical I/O port on the Arecont 1300m camera so that external software or hardware can be activated such as external alarms, IR illuminators, lighting SMTP servers, NVR's?

How do I use the Arecont Camera Motion Detection software so that images are recorded with LUXRIOT IN ADDITION TO periodic images of every 5 seconds an image recorded from each arecont camera. I am using (3) 1300M and one usb camera with an Intel core2 duo 1.66 MHz. It is now tunning at 90% with Luxriot motion detection. The only other software apps are the DDNS remote software.

I want to add more camewras and don't want the system to slow down or crash.

Do you plan on adding an SMTP, SMS or MMS server for alarm verification/notification? My cameras are remote and unattended. I log in once every 8 hours to check them using a wireless network. I want to add many more remote sites, each with at least 4 MP ip Arecont cameras and don't want to babysit each site. I would like to receive some type of electronic notification of activity. The sites have very little human activity and are in remote locations. The cameras are not actively monitored except by periodic checks during hours of darkness.

Thanks,
