FIX: Unexpected persistent motion regions

Filed under: Bugs, Change Log, Fixes — roman @ 3:25 am

The information applies to:

  • LuxRiot 1.2.x up to 1.2.14

Symptoms

With motion detection enabled for a camera, it may sometimes appear that some of the regions (especially along right and bottom margins) are persistently and falsely shown as having motion detected. The problem may go or re-appear with restart of the LuxRiot DVR Server application or service. In rare cases the problem may cause crash of server side of the software.
Resolution

An update of one of the LuxRiot modules fixes the problem.

It is strongly recommended to upgrade to LuxRiot 1.2.14 before applying the fix if an older version of LuxRiot is installed.

  1. Download the archive DVRServerTools-1.2.14.6623.zip
  2. Stop all LuxRiot applications
  3. Open LuxRiot instllation directory, typically C:\Program Files\LuxRiot Digital Video Recorder
  4. Backup file DVRServerTools.dll by renaming to e.g. DVRServerTools.01.dll
  5. Extract new DVRServerTools.dll from downloaded archive in place of the renamed file
  6. Start LuxRiot applications

The fix will also be included into next release of LuxRiot.
