Running LuxRiot Client on dual-monitor system
Current LuxRiot version doesn’t have native dual-monitor support; however, it is still possible to do that by launching 2 LuxRiot DVR Client copies simultaneously - one for each screen. Also please note that each copy will have to be placed manually into corresponding screen every time you restart computer or just DVRClient applications.
Running 2 separate copies of LuxRiot on a dual-monitor system requires video renderer to be set to GDI.
Click menu “Tools –> Options”
In opened window choose tab “screen”, change video renderer version.

Click on button on the right of name “video renderer version” (in blue circle on the picture). In opened menu choose GDI clicking on it and then click ok.
Also You dont need to switch to GDI if you have the New DirectX Installed DirectX Aug Redist…. probably also the same with Vista as it already has the new DirectX installed…. Got Dual monitors and left it as DirectX 9 on both and its working

I initially sent in the query re dual monitors and it is the method I am using but it is less than convenient for our chemical plant operators.
Running two copies appears to be less stable. When the operator is configuring a layout the application “loses” the server and the camera views all ‘fail to recieve stream’ yet the remaining application continues to run quite happily. A close and restart of the failed application soon has the problem solved but is far from ideal.
I tried stretching a single application accross the two screens, this would be an ideal solution for me, however, the screen arrangement options were not suitable. The best option I see for this is for Luxriot to build in the option for multiple application windows to be open within a single running copy (as per most windows applications, or more arrangement options.
I am trying to display on the first screen 4 views and the second 2 large and 8 small.

Running 8 monitors and kept dropping the video everytime I would move the clint over. changed the rendering to GDI and works perfectly now.
